What we collect
We collect the information you give us to create your books — your account email, the story details you enter (names, themes, dedications), and any photos you choose to upload for likeness. We also keep the stories and illustrations you generate so you can return to them.
Photos you upload
If you upload a photo to make a character resemble your child, it is stored privately and used only to generate your illustrations. It is never made public or used to train models, and you can delete it at any time from the create screen or by contacting us. We recommend only uploading photos you have the right to use.
How we use it
Your inputs are sent to our AI providers to write stories and generate illustrations, and to our print partner when you order a physical book. We use your email for account access and order updates. We don't sell your personal information.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your stories and uploaded photos anytime. To close your account or request deletion of your data, email us at kaseyfuwaterloo@gmail.com.
Children's privacy
PenCat is intended for use by adults creating books for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
